Functions of Vitamin C include; promoting Iron absorption from food, maintaining healthy collagen, capillaries, bones and teeth, providing resistance to infection, protecting LDL cholesterol from oxidation, producing anti-stress hormones and brain and nerve substances, acting as a natural antihistamine. Vitamin C is broken down daily, so it needs to be replaced on a daily basis.
