Dulcolax Tablets offer relief from constipation by gently stimulating the bowel and returning the body habit to its natural rhythm. Do not use in children under the age of 18 years.

Description

Dulcolax Adult Tablets are used for the short-term relief of occasional constipation. Dulcolax Adult Tablets contain bisacodyl and belong to a group of medicines known as stimulant laxatives, which increase bowel movements. This medicine does not help with weight loss. It provides the perfect relief so you don’t be uncomfortable all day and night.

Stimulant laxatives should only be used if other laxatives (bulk-forming and osmotic) are ineffective. Do not use in children under the age of 18 years. If you are not sure, talk to your pharmacist or doctor before taking this medicine.

Uses / Instructions

Adults:

Take one or two tablets daily before bedtime.
If you have not taken Dulcolax before, start with one tablet and increase to two if necessary.
Swallow tablets whole, with water.
Do not take more medicine than the label tells you to.
Should not be used in children or adolescents under the age of 18 years.

Warnings

If laxatives are needed for more than five days in a row, or if symptoms persist, in particular if you have persistent abdominal pain or are passing blood, consult your doctor.
Do not take if you have an intestinal obstruction, an inflammatory gastrointestinal disorder, or severe dehydration, or if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breast-feeding.

• Abdominal cramps or pain
• Diarrhoea
• Nausea

Active ingredient:

Each gastro-resistant tablet contains 5 mg bisacodyl.

Also contains:

lactose monohydrate, maize starch, sucrose, glycerol, magnesium stearate, talc, acacia, white beeswax, shellac, carnauba wax, titanium dioxide (E171), yellow iron oxide (E172), methacrylic acid-methyl methacrylate copolymer, castor oil, macrogol 6000.
