These suppositories are a treatment that is intended to be used to provide relief for the effects of constipation. The active ingredient in these suppositories is glycerol. Glycerol in this suppositories works as a laxative to ease constipation by stimulating the bowels by drawing water to them. This causes a bowel movement.

What is the cause of constipation

Constipation can be caused by a number of conditions. These include:

A lack of fibre
Not drinking enough fluids
Not exercising enough
Ignoring the urge to go to the toilet
A change in diet
Stress or anxiety
Medication

In rare cases, constipation can be caused by a medical condition.

Who are these suppositories suitable for

These suppositories are suitable to be used by children aged 1 and over. They should not be used by anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained in the suppositories. If any other form of medication is currently being used, consult a doctor or speak to our pharmacist before using these suppositories.

Uses / Instructions

One to be inserted when necessary.
Hold the wide base of the suppository in the fold of a cloth.
Lubricate the pointed end with petroleum jelly and insert well into the rectum of the child or infant to be treated.
Even though complete solution is not necessary for action, the suppository should be held for five minutes to induce a motion
