Easy to prepare
These whole chestnuts are ready to use straight from the pack, perfect to munch on or to cook with.
Get creative
For a seasonal treat, pan fry duck breast, then fry chorizo and chestnuts in the left over fat whilst resting the duck. Add balsamic vinegar, cranberries, chicken stock, butter and rosemary. Reduce into a thick sauce. Serve over duck breast.
These chestnuts also work wonderfully in spicy stir-fries, stuffing mixes and stews. You can even chop them up as a tasty base for cake and muffin mixes – they’re pretty versatile!
Recipes
For quick and simple plant-based tart, buy a vegan roll of pastry crust and prep as instructed. Sauté finely chopped onion in olive oil in non-stick pan over a medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and season to taste. Remove from the heat, mix in the plant-based crème fraiche and chopped chestnuts and pour the mixture into the cooked tart crust. Cook for 10. Enjoy with a fresh salad.
