Description
Imodium Original 2mg capsules relieve diarrhoea quickly and effectively. Imodium works by slowing down your bowel and returning it to its normal rhythm. This helps to restore the absorption of fluids into your body.
Everyone gets diarrhoea from time to time. Though there are many different types of diarrhoea, these are some of the most common ones:
- Frequent diarrhoea. While most people only experience diarrhoea from time to time, some people can get it more often and persistently.
- Travellers’ diarrhoea. When you’re abroad it’s easy to get foreign bugs or food poisoning from unfamiliar food or drinks.
- Infectious. There are numerous infections that can lead to diarrhoea.
- Norovirus. If you catch what’s sometimes called the winter vomiting bug, diarrhoea will likely be a symptom.
Treating Diarrhoea with Imodium
The good news is that you can treat diarrhoea with Imodium. Imodium can help stop diarrhoea, so you can start to feel better and get on with your day.
What does Imodium do?
Imodium contains the active ingredient Loperamide. This medication is used to treat sudden diarrhoea (including traveller’s diarrhoea). It works by slowing down the movement of the gut. This decreases the number of bowel movements and makes the stool less watery.
