These cups are a plain off-white colouring with a green band. Within this band it states the environmentally-friendly aspects of the cup. And around the bottom it goes into further detail in dark green font. On the back of the cup are attention notices and a printed SUPD logo.
Made from paper, these cups are lined with a natural corn starch based PLA (Polyactic Acid). This material is a thermoplastic monomer that is derived from renewable, organic sources. This lining helps to reduce the heat felt on the outer layer of the cup, keeping the users hands safer. However, due to this lining, an SUPD logo is adorned to the cup. This is because of the bio plastic lining, therefore it had the meet the Single Use Plastic Directive standards for beverages in order to deem it safe for use.
