Description

Gel Tears 10g is used as a substitute for natural tears by patients who suffer from dry eyes because they do not produce enough of their own tears. It can also be used in patients who suffer from sore eyes because their tear film is unstable.

Uses / Instructions

For external use only.
Dosage: 1 drop 3-4 times daily or as directed by the physician. See enclosed leaflet for further instructions and precautions.
Sterile until opened.
Discard within 28 days of first opening.

Warnings

If you are allergic to any of the ingredients listed above, or if you are pregnant or breast feeding, you should ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using your medicine.
You should not wear contact lenses during treatment with this medicine.
Your vision may become temporarily blurred after you add Gel Tears to your eye(s). This should not last very long, but if you are affected, you should not drive or use machinery until your vision returns to normal.

Side Effects

Your eyes may sting a little when the drops are put in. These effects
will wear off within a few minutes.
Visual disturbance, blurred vision and irritation with prolonged use may occur.
A few reports of allergy have been received following use of GelTears eye gel. This is due to one of the ingredients in the formulation.
If you develop pain, swelling or redness in or around the eyes, you should stop using your medicine and consult your doctor or pharmacist.
