Uses / Instructions

For our recipe you will need ... 1 sachet Schwartz Shepherd's Pie Recipe Mix 450g (1lb) lean lamb mince 1 onion, diced 2 carrots, peeled and diced 200ml (7fl oz) water 100g (4oz) peas 675g (1 1/2lb) mashed potato Directions ... 1. Pre-heat oven 200?c, 400?F, Gas Mark6. 2. Brown mince, onions and carrots for 4-5 minutes. Drain excess liquid. Mix sachet contents with water and add to pan with peas. Bring to the boil, stirring and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes. 3. Transfer to an ovenproof dish and cover with potato. Cook for 20-25 minutes. 4. Serve with steamed green vegetables. Hints & Tips ... Also great with lean beef mince. Why not try adding chopped spring onion and grated cheese to the mashed potato before topping the mince mixture and cooking.
