Description

Pyrocalm Control Omeprazole 20mg gastro-Resistant Tablets (omeprazole) can be used for the treatment of reflux symptoms. These include heartburn and acid reflux (when the acid from the stomach travels up to the throat). Pyrocalm Tablets act to reduce the amount of acid produced in the stomach by blocking the proton pump inside the cells that are involved in producing the acid. The easy to swallow tablets Contains 20mg of omeprazole per tablet and can last for up to 24 hours. Helping you to get on with your day without heartburn and indigestion.

Pyrocalm Control 20mg Gastro-Resistant Tablets (omeprazole) may be used if you are pregnant but you should consult your GP or pharmacist first.

What is reflux?

Reflux is a back flow of acid from the stomach into the gullet (foodpipe) which can cause it to become inflamed and painful. Sufferers may experience a burning sensation in the chest (heartburn) and/or a sour taste in the mouth (acid regurgitation).

The main causes for reflux are:

Food and drink including:
- Coffee
- Alcohol
- Chocolate
- Fatty/spicy foods
- Being overweight
- Smoking
- Pregnancy
- Stress/anxiety
- Some medicines such as anti-inflammatory painkillers (e.g. Ibuprofen)
- Hiatus hernia (where part of the stomach moves up into the chest)

Uses / Instructions

Take one tablet a day with a glass of water.
Pyrocalm Control tablets should only be taken by those over the age of 18 and are not suitable for children.
If your child is suffering from heartburn or acid reflux we recommend asking your doctor or pharmacist to recommend a suitable treatment for them.

Warnings

Do not take Pyrocalm omeprazole 20mg tablets if:

You are allergic to omeprazole or any of the other ingredients in this medicine
If you are allergic to medicines containing other proton pump inhibitors (e.g. pantoprazole, lansoprazole, rabeprazole, esomeprazole).If you are taking a medicine containing nelfinavir (used for HIV infection)
Seek advice if you have a lactose intolerance before using this medication

Benign polyps in the stomach
