What is Hedrin Treat & Go Lotion?

Hedrin Treat & Go Lotion is a treatment for head lice that makes it easy to remove them. The formulation is a light lotion that does not stick to the hair and leaves a greasy feeling. It also has no nasty smell and doesn’t trigger asthma. The lotion is easy to apply and to wash out.

What causes head lice?

Head lice spread by direct contact, which is why they are most common in children, as they often have close contact with each other. Head lice can also be spread by certain items, which includes:

Scarves
Combs
Brushes
Headphones
Pillows
Towels
Some upholstery

Poor hygiene does not increase the risk of head lice.

Who is this Hedrin lotion suitable for?

This Hedrin lotion is suitable to be used by adults and children aged 6 months and older. It should not be used by anyone who is allergic to the ingredients that are contained in the lotion.

There is no reason as to why anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding cannot use this lotion. However, it is recommended that anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding consults a medical professional for advice before using any treatment.

Uses / Instructions

Apply sufficient lotion evenly over dry hair ensuring that the scalp is fully covered.
Work into the hair spreading the liquid evenly from the roots to tips.
Allow the hair to dry naturally.
Leave on the hair for at least 8 hours or overnight.
Wash the hair with normal shampoo, rinse thoroughly with water and dry.
It is important that Hedrin Lotion is applied again after seven days to deal with any lice which may hatch in that time.
Failure to repeat the treatment may result in the return of a louse infestation.

Warnings

Some products for the treatment of head lice are flammable when on the hair, and can ignite and cause serious harm in the presence of an open flame or other source of ignition, such as when lighting cigarettes.
The user of these products should keep away from people who are smoking, and open flames or other sources of ignition, including in the morning after an overnight application, until the hair is washed.
