Capasal Therapeutic Shampoo is for the treatment of dry and irritated scalp conditions such as:

Seborrhoeic eczema
seborrhoeic dermatitis
dandruff
psoriasis
cradle cap in children

Capasal Therapeutic Shampoo may also be used to remove previous scalp applications.

How Capasal Shampoo Work?

This shampoo contains a combination of coal tar, salicylic acid and coconut oil.

Coal tar is mildly antiseptic that relieves itching and helps to reduce the excessive hardening, thickening and scaling of the skin.
Salicylic acid helps to reduce further shedding of skin cells from the affected area.
Coconut oil is added to the preparation to soften and lubricate the skin.

What is Capasal Shampoo is used for?

Dandruff
Inflammation of the scalp due to excessive oil secretion (seborrhoeic dermatitis)
Psoriasis of the scalp
Seborrhoeic dermatitis of the scalp of the newborn (cradle cap)
To remove previous scalp application.

Uses / Instructions

Use Capasal Therapeutic Shampoo only to treat the scalp conditions that it is intended for.

Use as a shampoo until the scalp looks and feels better or as recommended by your
doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

Capasal can be used daily if required, reducing frequency of use to once or twice a week as your condition improves. Thereafter, occasional use may be necessary.

Warnings

Take special care when using this product: Keep the undiluted shampoo, and the lather,
away from the eyes.

Side Effects

in some rare cases it can cause irritant or allergic skin reactions on extremely
sensitive skin

Ingredients

The active ingredients are salicylic acid (0.5% w/w), coconut oil (1.0% w/w) and
distilled coal tar (1.0% w/w).

The other ingredients are lauric acid diethanolamide, coco amido propyl dimethyl betaine, triethanolamine lauryl sulfate, ammonium sulfate, phenoxyethanol, and purified water.
