Description

Our Thai Red Curry is a spicy and sweet dish, which is highly aromatic due to the lemongrass, galangal, sweet basil and kaffir lime leaves it contains.

The unique colour of the curry comes from the dried red chillies ground in the paste, but it is less spicy than Thai Green Curry.

At Blue Dragon, we grind our paste in Thailand to capture all the rich flavours. Only three quick and easy steps are needed to create this moderately spicy Thai classic.

Don’t forget your duck breast, onion and red pepper.

Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened keep refrigerated and consume within 3 days.
Preparation and Usage
Feeling inspired?
We love to personalise our Thai curries with these handy tips:
Adjust your heat level by choosing how many of our dried chillies to add.
Add a splash of water, 50ml, at the end of cooking for a more authentic Thai consistency.
Add a teaspoon of palm or caster sugar to finish with a balanced flavour.
Add finely chopped red chillies and fresh coriander to dress the curry before serving.
Cook for longer to separate the oils for an authentic look.

1 Gently fry the aromatic paste
2 Stir in the coconut milk
3 Add the dry & fresh ingredients

Medium… but add dried chillies for extra spice!

Recipes
For an authentic Thai Red Curry we use…
Serves 2
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Blue Dragon Thai Red Curry 3 Step
400g chicken breast, thinly sliced
A handful of baby corn
1 red pepper, sliced
Blue Dragon Fish Sauce and palm or caster sugar to taste
Enjoy!

Heat: Get your wok smoking hot and add a splash of oil.
Sizzle: Fry your meat until cooked and then add the paste, gently frying for 1 minute.
Stir: Pour in the coconut milk and bring to a boil, stirring until the paste dissolves. Add dry ingredients and vegetables and simmer for 10 minutes.
Enjoy: Serve with steamed rice.
