How to Make Classic Pancakes What You Need: 200g plain flour 30g butter (melted) 30g caster sugar 2 eggs 250ml milk Cooking appliances vary. These instructions are given as a guide. 1. Melt the butter over a low heat or in the microwave. 2. Whisk the eggs with the milk and melted butter. 3. Place the flour and sugar in a bowl and slowly pour in the egg, milk and butter mixture, stirring as you go until the batter is smooth. 4. Heat a non-stick pan over a moderate heat and add a small knob of butter. 5. When the butter starts to bubble, pour in enough pancake mix to just cover the base of the pan. 6. Cook for a minute on one side, then flip or turn it over and cook for another minute until it's just golden. 7. Then just cover in your favourite toppings and tuck in. Why Not Try... Leave out sugar and roll with savoury fillings like ham, tomato and cheese for a tasty, hot lunch. Storage Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, store in an airtight container.
