Recipes
Baked Date Rice Pudding
Serves 4
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 1 3/4-2hours
Ingredients
65g pudding rice
600ml milk
125 single cream
25g sugar
50g Whitworths dates, chopped roughly
How to make
Step 1 – Preheat the oven to Gas 2, 150?C. Greese a 900ml (1 1/2 pint) ovenproof dish.
Step 2 – Mix the rice, milk, cream, sugar and dates and pour into the dish.
Step 3 – Cook in the oven for 1 3/4- 2hours until the rice is tender, stirring after the first 30 minutes.
