Preparation and Usage

3 chicken thigh fillets cut into bite-sized pieces
120g basmati rice
50g plain yoghurt
a knob of butter
50ml double cream
1 onion finely chopped
300g passata
To serve 4, add more fresh ingredients

1 Roast the chicken in the Tikka Spice Blend marinade
2 Make the curry sauce with the Makhani Curry Paste
3 Stir the chicken into the sauce with butter and Fenugreek Leaves
Chicken Makhani
1. Get prepped
– Preheat the oven to 200C / fan 180C / gas 6.
– Cook the rice according to pack instructions.
– Mix the chicken with the 1 Tikka Spice Blend and the yoghurt in a bowl, then arrange on a baking tray and cook in the oven for 15 mins, or until cooked through.
2. Make the curry base
– Heat a little oil in a pan over a medium-high heat, then fry the onion for 5-7 mins, or until golden.
– Stir in the 2 Makhani Curry Paste.
– Mix in the passata, then simmer over a low heat.
3. Finish the sauce
– Stir the roasted chicken into the curry along with the 3 Fenugreek Leaves.
– Turn the heat down to low and add the butter and cream. Stir until the butter has melted.
Serve!
Serve the curry over rice with a sprinkle of coriander (optional).
