Robitussin Chesty Cough Medicine helps to soothe and treat uncomfortable chesty cough symptoms. It contains an active ingredient that works by causing the cough to become less frequent and more productive to prevent persistant, unpleasant cough symptoms.
What Robitussin Chesty Cough Medicine is and what it is used for
Robitussin Chesty Cough helps clear mucus and phlegm from the chest and contains guaifenesin (100mg per 5ml) – an expectorant which thins the mucus in the airways, making it less sticky and enabling the patient to cough it up more easily.
Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years: Take 10 ml up to four times daily, as required.
Do not exceed the stated dose. No more than four doses should be taken in any 24 hours.
This medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Side effects with guaifenesin are rare. However, some susceptible individuals may experience unwanted side effects.
