The velcro straps ensure a secure fit, providing much-needed protection to fatigued joints and muscles. The additional cushioning around the patella area (kneecap) provides support and comfort. The metal hinges are designed to protect already injured knees from further damage. As the injury heals and the strength returns to the knee the hinges can be removed. The knee support can be used to help prevent future injures.

The neoprene rubber, infused with polyester, provides strength and durability, and retains body heat effectively, whilst the additional strapping and metal hinges provide rigid support.
