Description

Abidec Multivitamin Drops are a vitamin supplement that contains seven different vitamins to help your child gain all the vitamins they need in their diet to support their development. The drops are easy to administer and have been specially formulated to help to maintain healthy growth. This pack contains a bottle of Abidec Multivitamin Drops and an easy to use syringe. Abidec should be taken daily to provide a sufficient amount of vitamins to prevent vitamin deficiencies and promote healthy growth.

Uses / Instructions

Give Abidec Multivitamin Drops as a daily dose using the syringe provided. For children under the age of 1 year: give 0.3ml (higher mark on syringe) on the back of the tongue.
For children aged 1-12 years: give 0.6ml (lower mark on syringe) on the back of the tongue. These doses are used even if your child has liver or kidney problems. Wash and dry the syringe thoroughly after use (not in a steam steriliser). When completely dry, use the syringe to seal the bottle again.

If you miss a dose:

Give one as soon as you remember unless it is nearly time for the next dose. Do not give an extra dose to
make up for the one missed.

When using Abidec Multivitamin Drops, as with all multi-vitamin preparations, allowance should be made for vitamins obtained from other sources.

While children are taking Abidec Multivitamin Drops no other vitamin supplement containing vitamins A and D should be taken unless under medical supervision.

This multivitamin supplement should not be given to babies who are receiving more than 500mls of formula milk per day to avoid exceeding the safe upper limit of Vitamin A.

Excessive dosage of vitamin A and D may lead to hypervitaminoses. Due allowance should always be made for intake of these vitamins from other sources.

Patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take this medicine.

Side Effects

Does Abidec have any side effects?

Abidec Multivitamin Drops contains peanut oil which may cause an allergic reaction. Do NOT use this product if you know or suspect your child is allergic to peanuts or soya. If your child feels unwell after using this product or you notice any unusual symptoms after taking Abidec, discontinue use and seek immediate medical attention.

Ingredients

Active substances: Each 0.6 ml dose contains: Retinol (as vitamin A Palmitate) 1333 IU, Ergocalciferol (Vitamin D2) 400 IU, Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B1) 0.4 mg, Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) 0.8 mg, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) 0.8 mg, Nicotinamide 8 mg and Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) 40 mg. Other ingredients: Sodium hydroxide,sugar (sucrose), polysorbate 60, nitrogen (oxygen free), refined peanut oil (arachis oil) and water.
